About GorillaHead

If you find yourself scratching your head and wondering, “Where did the name GorillaHead come from?” Do not be disheartened for you are not alone. The name for the business came indirectly from my wife who is a school teacher and member of GorillaHead. One day, a student in her class called another student a “gorilla head.” When I first heard the story, Andrea (that’s my wife) was explaining to me how she had admonished the first student for calling another student names. However, I could not get beyond the coolness of the name "gorilla head." I felt inspired to call someone else "gorilla head," and even wanted to be called "gorilla head" myself. so I decided to start a company.

GorillaHead, LLC is devoted to the creation of art and story. It is a "Sanctuary" because in GorillaHead the creators have complete artistic freedom to make work that they believe in. The only commandment of GorillaHead is this: "Thou shalt make things that are cool." The artists and storytellers found here retain ownership and control of their work. GorillaHead is truely a "Sanctuary of Art and Story."
