The Artist Speaks
The name Joshua means redeemer so the title literally interpreted means the redemption of the redeemer. This was completely unintentional yet equally fortuitous because it coincided with my own rediscovery of faith. As the figure of Joshua emerges from a tomb-like structure, skeletons of the dead world cling to him. The sunflower bursts forth in a birth of consciousness to destroy them with its light, removing all that would restrain Joshua from leaving the grave.
